VGI Consulting is the successor of a consulting engineering practice established in 1965. Our company has more than 50 years of experience in the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) of petrochemical, civil and structural projects.
With over 50 years of experience in the pipeline engineering industry, VGI Consulting is one of the leading consulting engineering firms in Southern Africa.
Our in-house capabilities include Process, Civil & Structural, Mechanical & Piping and Geotechnical engineering. Our staff has extensive experience in project and construction management, as well as procurement of goods and services for and on behalf of our clients. Together with a team of specialist partners, we have successfully completed numerous projects of high-pressure steel pipelines and associated infrastructure in Southern Africa, most notably in South Africa and Mozambique.
VGI Consulting Bursaries List of Field Covered
The bursary supports full-time undergraduate studies (BEng, BTech or BSc) in:
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
List of Expenses Covered by VGI Consulting Bursaries
University registration, tuition fees, prescribed study material and examination fees.
Note: The bursary does not cover previous years’ outstanding fees or failed modules. Awards are granted for one academic year at a time and may be renewed annually based on satisfactory academic performance. Recipients must complete vacation work during the June/July and Dec/Jan breaks.
Who can Apply VGI Consulting Bursaries 2026
- South African citizen, 18–25 years old.
- Completed Matric.
- Studying full-time towards a BEng/BTech/BSc in one of the fields above.
- Minimum 60% overall average for 1st year (you must be entering 2nd year or higher in 2026).
- Registered at a recognised, accredited SA university or university of technology.
- Not currently receiving any other bursary.
